A United States Postal truck (USPS) has been involved in a violent crash in Northwest Miami-Dade.
According to police the crash involved a driver in a black sedan and a postal worker driving a USPS truck at the intersection of Northwest 17th Avenue and 47th Terrace. The two drivers had to be transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital due to their injuries but were in stable condition.
The black sedan was seen at the intersection where the collision occurred with serious front-end damage while the USPS truck also sustained significant damage.
Traffic was congested as a result of the crash and there were no further details released by law enforcement personal. Clean up crews were on site to clean up debris from the wreckage as soon as possible while law enforcement directed traffic around the scene.
Dr. Brian Elias, from The Accident and Injury Team, commented on this crash. “We do not know if the accident was a head on collision but we do know that even minor accidents can cause serious back and neck injuries. We hope that those involved receive the proper medical care. Most accidents are very sudden and we sometimes do not have the time to brace for impact and our necks and backs can be injured very easily. Do not wait until you are in extreme pain to see a professional. Injuries can develop days after an accident so please seek help as soon as possible instead of waiting.”
