Police said two high school teachers and one child sustained injuries in a crash on Northwest 29th Avenue and 95th Street in Miami.
In a news release, authorities said the crash happened when the driver of a 2004 Ford F-150 attempted to avoid a collision with a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign. Subsequently, the truck driver hit another vehicle conveying the teachers and the child.
EMS arrived at the scene of the crash and administered on-site first aid to the victims. The child suffered critical injuries, while the teachers sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck sustained minor injuries as well. Paramedics transported the victims to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Police said the crash remains an active investigation. More details will be made available once the investigation is complete.
