Louisville Metro Police Department stated that a Honda Accord was sideswiped by a semi-truck, resulting in life-threatening injuries.
The accident occurred on KY-155 highway, near Wilsonville. It was reported that the operator of the semi-truck sideswiped the oncoming 2013 Honda Accord. The Honda was being was driven by a 44-year-old man at the time of the crash.
A witness observed the truck moving out of his lane at top speed. The witness commented, “This must have destabilized the Honda driver.” Subsequently, it was reported that both drivers were traveling at an accelerated rate when the accident occurred.
According to the statement written by LMPD, the truck swerved and struck the side of the oncoming Honda. As a result, the driver of the car lost control and crashed the vehicle, police said.
It was reported that the driver of the car and the two passengers were severely injured. Injuries could be to the head, back, arms, and legs. The emergency crew arrived at the site of the crash and responded to the injured victims. The people involved in the accident were transported to a nearby hospital, except the truck driver who was reportedly not injured.
Police are investigating the crash.
