According to BPD, a 24-year-old woman sustained severe injuries after she was struck by a pickup truck while riding her bicycle.
The woman reportedly lost control of her bicycle when the 2014 Ford F150 truck sideswiped her. She was reportedly thrown off her bike onto the side of the road. Boston Police Department also reported that the woman sustained severe injuries, though non-life-threatening.
The accident happened on Warren Street at Dudley Square when a 2014 Ford F150 veered out of it’s lane and hit the bicyclist. After the collision the truck then hit the guardrail on the side of the road and came to a halt.The reason for the crash is still under investigation, police said.
Emergency crew attended the bicyclist immediately. She was reportedly bleeding on her right leg at the scene and it was later confirmed to be a dislocation on her right knee. The driver of the pickup truck was not reported injured.
At the moment, no charge has been filed by the authorities, but the accident is still being investigated.
