An incidence was reported by Boston Police Department, of a semi-truck/minivan fiery head-on collision, leading to severe injuries on Bailey Street.
According the report, a moment after rainfall, two drivers and 2 passengers were involved in a crash. It was reported that the 51-year-old woman driving the minivan drifted out of her lane. This result was a head-on collision with a semi-truck operated by a 40-year-old man, police said.
It was reported that the woman and the two passengers in the minivan were severely injured. The 27-year-old man seated beside the driver was immobile after the crash.
Emergency crew responded swiftly to the accident. Injuries on the face, head, shoulder, arm, hip and leg were reported by the crew.
The semi-truck driver reportedly sustained minor injuries. The crew treated the truck driver at the site of the crash. The police also reported that the impact in the crash would have been worse if the semi-truck was traveling at a high speed. “This made the impact of the accident minimal,” police said.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
