Boston police reported that a 2013 Chrysler 200 rolled over after being struck by a 2014 Cadillac SRX along Dorcehster Avenue/MA-203.
According to the incident report, the Cadillac SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed when its driver lost control of the vehicle. The reason the 32-year-old driver of the SUV lost control has not yet been ascertained, police said. In a statement by the police, it is possible the driver was distracted or there could have been some kind of mechanical issues.
As reported, when the driver of the SUV lost vehicle control, he swerved and forcefully hit the Chrysler. The Chrysler was coming from the opposite direction. As a result of this the Chrysler, driven by a 65-year-old man, swerved and rolled over, police said. The Cadillac as well, flipped on its side after it struck the car.
This accident reportedly resulted in life-threatening injuries to the two drivers and a passenger in the SUV. The emergency responders arrived at the site of the crash to rescue the crash victims.
The three accident victims were transported to a hospital nearby for treatment, police said. It was reported that the two drivers were immediately placed on life support. They may have had head, neck, back and/or other injuries.
