One Critically Injured in Accident on Palmetto Expressway in Miami

Law enforcement officials reported a traffic accident on Palmetto Expressway in Miami that left a man critically injured.

According to the news release by authorities, the crash occurred on the southbound side of the Palmetto Expressway. Officials said a Ford F-150 truck clipped a Mitsubishi Sports Utility Vehicle, crashed over a median wall and hit two more cars that were traveling northbound. Consequently, the driver of the Mitsubishi SUV suffered critical injuries in the crash.

EMS arrived at the scene to administer on-site first aid to the victims. Additionally, two other persons sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash. EMS transported the victims to the hospital for further treatment.

Police said the crash remains under active investigation. No other details were immediately released.
