Police stated that a Dodge minivan tried to pass a vehicle on Enneking Parkway then lost control attempting to avoid a collision with an oncoming semi-truck.
This accident happened on Enneking Parkway when a Dodge minivan attempted to pass a car, police said. The driver of the minivan headed out behind a Volkswagen at the bend near Turtle Pond. As the driver was passing the Volkswagen the driver saw a semi-truck coming head-on in the same lane and swerved out of control to avoid a collision. In doing so the minivan crashed into the Volkswagen it was trying to pass.
According to authorities there were four occupants in the Dodge minivan when the accident happened. First responders reported six people in total suffered injuries from the accident. All four of the occupants in the Dodge minivan and the two occupants in the Volkswagen were transported to a nearby hospital.
Police reported that the semi-truck avoided the crash completely and no other details were released to the public at the time of this report.
