April 4, 2018 The Accident and Injury Team

Boston Police Department spokesperson stated that a minivan crashed into a school bus from behind, leading to severe injuries.

The driver, a 41-year-old man, reportedly crashed his minivan into a school bus on Geneva Ave near Columbia Road. A witness said that the minivan driver seemed distracted. He further stated that the school bus had stopped and was waiting at the traffic light when the crash happened. The primary investigation found that the minivan had rear-ended the bus at the stop sign, according to a police spokesperson.

Police reported that the driver was in critical condition after the crash. Additionally, the passenger, who was sitting beside the driver of the minivan, sustained significant injuries. The duo had combination of injuries to the neck, shoulder, back, arm and hip, the police representative stated.

Incidentally, according to the police, there were six adolescents and a 37-year-old driver on the school bus. From the impact of the crash, three of the young people sustained minor injuries, police reported.

Upon arrival, the emergency crew transported the injured persons to a nearby hospital.

Drivers should be patient on this route, due to the traffic delay caused by the accident.
