Police stated that a 36-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries after a collision on Outer Loop (KY-1065).
According to a statement by Louisville Metro Police, the man sustained traumatic injuries in an accident on Outer Loop, near Thorntons gas station. His injuries were to his head, chest and back. This happened when his 2013 Chevrolet Cruze left its lane eastbound Outer Loop and collided with a 2010 Ford Fusion. The Chevy then rolled over into a ditch by the shoulder of the road. The ford then came to a stop on the shoulder of the road nearby said police.
From the police report, the reason the Chevy driver left his lane, thereby leading to the accident, is still unknown. The authorities are still investigating the cause.
Emergency crew arrived at the site of the crash to administer medical care. It was reported that the occupants of the Ford sustained non-life-threatening injuries, on their arms and legs.
The crash victims were transported to a nearby hospital.
