police are investigating a serious accident on I-64 in Louisville involving three vehicles and 7 injured.
According to the police, a pick-up truck driven by an unidentified man, lost control of his vehicle on I-64. The pick-up truck swerved and hit an oncoming BMW at a high rate of speed and rolled over, police added. At that time, another driver nearby, 29-year-old man lost control of his Dodge. It was reported that the driver of the Dodge likely lost control of his vehicle due to his high rate of speed.
Upon arrival of EMS, the driver of the pick-up was reported to be unconscious and the passenger of the pickup truck had sustained severe injuries. There were three occupants in the BMW, one of them was reported unconscious as well but stabilized quickly. The other 2 occupants of the BMW were severely injured and those riding in the Dodge sustained injuries as well.
All the victims of this tragic accident have been transported to a nearby hospital. Several of the injured victims reportedly had head, neck, shoulder and back injuries.
Police are still investigating the accident.
