One person sustained injuries after an accident involving two cars and a truck on Interstate 264 east, police report.
This accident reportedly happened just after the exit of Taylor Boulevard, on I-264 East, also known as Watterson Expressway. Subsequently, Kentucky Transportation officials reported to Wave 3 News that the collision involved two cars and a flat-bed truck. The crash scene reportedly stretched between Exit 9, Taylor Blvd, and Exit 10, Southern Parkway and 3rd Street.
First emergency crew responded to the multi-vehicle accident. Zeonni Amor of Wave3 News, captured a picture that illustrated the crash completely engulfed in flames.
According to MetroSafe’s report, one person sustained injuries. As officers responded to the scene, they immediately located the injured party. At this time, police have not identified the victim. Similarly, officials have not revealed the victim’s condition. First responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital.
Consequently, police blocked all eastbound lanes of I-264 for about two hours but later reopened them.
