Police report that a driver ran his car into another vehicle while trying to outrun a red light at the intersection of Shepherdsville Road and Applegate Lane.
According to a police report a Toyota Camry crashed into a Dodge sedan while running a red light at the intersection of Shepherdsville Road and Applegate Lane. The 32-year-old driver of the Dodge that was hit was seriously injured and transported to a nearby hospital by emergency medical treatment. The 27-year-old driver of the Camry and it’s 53-year-old female passenger sustained only minor injuries. They were also taken to the nearby hospital. Both of their vehicles were severely damaged in the wreck.
EMS admitted the crash victims that were hit by the first car to the hospital in critical condition. It was later confirmed that the victims were in a stable condition.
Emergency services were seen clearing the debris from the accident soon after the victims were taken to the hospital. No other details were released to the public and law enforcement is still investigating the accident.
