It was reported that a 27-year-old man was in critical condition after he struck from behind in a car crash on Furman Boulevard in Louisville.
The Police stated that a Toyota Prius C, driven by a 29-year-old man, was rear-ended while approaching a traffic light on Furman Boulevard. Police say that the vehicle that struck him from behind was a Ford Crown Victoria, driven by a 34-year-old woman. The impact from the collision reportedly pushed the Toyota against the side guardrail of the road. Law enforcement officials did not reveal why the woman hit the Toyota driver at the time of this report.
Eyewitnesses called in the emergency and EMS crews arrived soon after the crash occurred. The man was found unconscious with his head on the steering wheel, police said. Emergency services evaluated him and he was then transported immediately to the University of Louisville Hospital.
The driver of the Ford was also hurt but they were only minor injuries.
No other details were released to the public and police is still investigating the cause of the crash.
