A car was rear-end by an SUV along Norfolk Street, near Peacevale Road, resulting in 4 people being injured, police said.
It was reported a rear-end crash happened at a traffic light. The car was driven by a 43-year-old woman, who reportedly started applying the brake close to the Peacevale Rd intersection. The BMW X6, driven by a 27-year-old man was approaching the intersection and failed to stop. It rear-ended the car that was stopped at the light, a witness said.
According to the report, there were 2 passengers inside the car that was rear-ended. The impact of the crash was massive, police said. The passenger in the back seat suffered life-threatening injuries, the emergency crew on the scene reported. He was extricated from the interior of the car and placed on life support, the crew member added.
The SUV driver was also injured. He had back and neck injuries. While the driver and the other passenger in the car suffered whiplash pain. The four crash victims were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.
