It was reported by the emergency crew on the scene that 3 people were involved in an SUV rollover crash on Boylston Street.
According to a witness report, an SUV was speeding on Boylston Street before the accident occurred. “The SUV passed my car at a high speed… and few minutes afterward I saw the SUV rolled over,” the witness said. The witness said he believes the driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle at a high speed which lead to the accident.
The police reported that there were 3 people in the car. A 24 year-old woman, and men age 27 and 26. The 26 year old was driving the SUV, police added.
First emergency crews reported that the injuries sustained by the victims of the crash were serious. It took some time for the crew to take the victims out of the vehicle. There were injuries to the head and neck. They were immediately transported to a hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash is not yet known. It is still being investigated by the Boston Police Department.
Dr. Brian Elias, from The Accident and Injury Team, comments on this crash. “It appears that the driving of the SUV that overturned was speeding at the time of the crash. We hope that he, and his passengers accidents aren’t too severe and they have a quick recovery.”
