A 2013 Lexus RX330 lost control, drove onto the shoulder of the road and struck a 16 year-old boy in the process, Boston police said.
The Lexus driver, 31, reportedly lost control of the car while driving along Pleasant Street. The reason that the driver of the vehicle lost control is unknown.
The SUV swerved off of the road and damaged a street light pole, police said. It was reported that the boy, who is now in critical condition, was struck while the SUV was coming to a halt. The impact of the crash to the 16 year old is serous and life-threatening, police said. It was reported that the boy had injuries to his shoulder and leg. He also has injuries to his head and arm.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Lexus also sustained injuries, and the two passengers reportedly were also injured. The two passengers reportedly sustained injuries of the arm, hip and neck as well.
The boy, who was in comma, the driver and the two passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
