A car crash at the intersection of Central Avenue and River Street leads to multiple injuries.
A Boston Police Department’s spokesman reported that a 40-year-old man crashed his white Lexus into another vehicle, a Dodge, which was driven by a 29-year-old man. The driver of the Lexus neglected the traffic light signal and drove at a high rate of speed into the intersection. The Lexus then reportedly hit the Dodge on the right passenger side and forced it onto the shoulder of the road.
The drivers of both vehicles and their passengers all suffered various injuries. Reportedly, the driver of the Dodge was left in a coma due to his injuries.
First emergency responders attended to the accident victims immediately after they arrived at the site of the crash.
The police are still investigating the cause of the crash and all of the victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
