It was reported by the police that a 6-year-old boy was hit by a car in California neighborhood, Louisville.
According to the authorities, the accident occurred in the 1600th block of Gallagher Avenue in the California neighborhood. It was alleged that the little boy was playing in the street when he was struck by a car traveling eastbound.
Meanwhile, the cause of the crash is not yet known, according to the police. A witness alleged that the boy ran into the road in front of the car. However, he later disclaimed the statement saying he only saw the crash after it had happened. He said in his statement that he wasn’t positive about what happened, reported by the police.
Officials reported that the 6-year-old was taken to Norton’s Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The boy may have sustained leg, shoulder, back or head injuries.
The driver of the car remained at the scene after he struck the boy. The 2nd Division of the Louisville Metro Police Department is handling this crash carefully. According to the police, from the investigation so far, no charges were expected.
