Authorities stated that a school bus with four students on board crashed into an SUV near Babson Street.
According to the report given by Boston Police Department, the school bus crashed into the Toyota Highlander SUV at a crossroad near Norfolk Street. The bus reportedly headed towards Hunt Playground where it struck the SUV on its right side. The SUV was driving along Babson Street with four people, including the driver, police said.
Police stated that the SUV’s driver as well as its two passengers sustained injuries. Although the injuries were not life-threatening, the passengers and the driver needed medical attention, police said. Additionally, the driver of the school bus and one of the students were reportedly injured. Subsequently, emergency crew transported them all to a nearby hospital, authorities added.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness blamed the school bus driver for their impatience. He added that the bus driver was probably distracted while driving, police said. Furthermore, the witness stated that the situation is pathetic and unacceptable.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
