Boston Police Department said a 21 year-old man was in critical condition from a two-car crash that also seriously injured three other people.
The crash happened when a 2014 Nissan Maxima struck a Mazda MPV. The blue Nissan headlights were suddenly turned off while approaching in the intersection at Forest Hills Street. As this happened, the oncoming MPV headed in opposite direction lost control of the vehicle in fear, police reported. The driver of the Nissan then reportedly collided with the right side of the MPV headed in the opposite direction. The crash pushed the MPV onto the shoulder of the road and it rolled on its right side.
Police said the crash on Forest Hills St caused a 21 year-old man inside the MPV to sustain critical injuries. It was also reported that the 37 year-old driver of the MPV sustained serious injuries, though not life-threatening. There were two people inside the Nissan who sustained injuries. Their identity is still being withheld.
The authorities are investigating the crash.
An update on the condition of the three other injured people was not immediately available. However, they may have had injuries to the head, shoulder, chest, neck and back.
They were all transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
