Authorities are investigating a crash that has left 4 people hurt including an infant after a Sports Utility Vehicle rammed into the back of a FedEx truck in Miami.
Law enforcement officials report that a Nissan Xterra collided into the back of a FedEx truck at Southwest 10th street and 27th Avenue in Miami. The unexpected accident caused a total of four people varying degrees of injuries. Thanks to rescue teams the crash accident victims were all given medical care on-site and were taken to the hospital shortly after.
A witness states that a baby girl was among those injured in the accident. The driver of the FedEx truck suffered neck and back injuries.
The identities of the people involved were not released by law enforcement and no further details have been released at the time of this report.
Dr. Brian Elias, from The Accident and Injury Team, commented on the crash. “Rear-end accidents are one of the most dangerous kinds of accidents. Often when a person is rear-ended they are completely taken off-guard and have not had an opportunity to brace for an impact. These accidents often lead to serious back and neck injuries. We hope that those involved receive the proper medical care immediately. Injuries to those areas do not always have obvious signs of damage or pain until days later. Don’t wait until it’s too late.”
