Boston Police Department reported two motorists were involved in an accident that led to major delays on Brook Road (MA-28).
According to the report statement the accident happened on MA-28 near Pierce Middle School. The 34-year-old driver of the gray Cadillac SUV was involved in an accident with a black pickup truck. According to the report there were two people in the pickup truck, a 40-year-old driver and a 37-year-old male passenger.
The identities of the people involved in this accident have not been reported.
The Boston Police Department spokesman stated that the accident on Brook Road caused major traffic issues. Drivers traveling northbound on MA-28 were delayed for many hours.
Both the drivers and a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the crash sustained injuries. The emergency crew arrived on the site of the accident and the victims were airlifted to the hospital. The victims sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
The cause of the crash was unknown and is still still under investigation.
