According to the Police Department a 2014 Dodge Dart was involved in a single-car accident on I-65 that ended with two people severely injured.
The crash reportedly occurred northbound on I-65 at the intersection with Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. Expressway. Police said that the red Dodge was driven by a 37-year-old man who had two passengers in the car with him when the crash happened. The car was said to have rolled over multiple times on the highway before it came to a halt.
EMS arrived at the site of the crash after a driver traveling along the road called for help after witnessing the incident. The driver of the Dodge was stuck in the car and had to have rescue crews remove him from his vehicle. Authorities stated that two of the other people involved in the accident sustained life-threatening injuries along with the driver who suffered only minor damage. The three accident victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated and no other information was released to the public.
