Police reported that two vehicles were involved in an accident following a car chase, which led to three people being injured.
It was reported that a 37-year-old driver chased after a 41-year-old driver after a traffic misunderstanding. The driver of the Chrysler had reportedly struck the Honda car from behind at a traffic light. Just after the initial impact, the traffic light turned green. Police stated that the driver of the Chrysler went around the Honda and sped off. The driver failed to acknowledge the accident or offer any aid to the Honda occupants. The Honda then began to chase the driver of the Chrysler furiously down Wood Avenue, authorities said.
Police stated that the Honda driver struck the Chrysler from behind while chasing him down. He then reportedly overtook the Chrysler and sideswiped it to a halt. At this point, both drivers had sustained injuries as well as the passenger in the Chrysler, police said.
As this chase went on, a passersby called authorities which arrived right as the chase concluded. EMS noted that both drivers and the one passenger had various non critical injuries and were taken for medical treatment.
No charges has been filed yet. Police are still investigating the events leading up to the crash to determine all the factors involved.
