According to Louisville Metro Police Department a Sports Utility Vehicle T-boned a car on Cardinal Street and resulted in three injuries.
Police report that a Sports Utility Vehicle drove onto Cardinal Drive from Thrush Road and struck a Chevrolet sedan at the intersection. A witness in Audubon Park stated that the SUV driver apparently exceeded the speed limit causing the collision. Both of the vehicles flipped into the shoulder of the road before coming to a stop.
Three people were reported to be involved in this crash which included the 23-year-old driver of the 2010 Jeep Liberty and the 34-year-old driver of the Chevrolet who had a 30-year-old passenger in the vehicle.
Emergency first responders say driver of the SUV sustained severe injuries to his head and hips. The other victims in the accident also sustained severe injuries to the head, chest and limbs. They were all taken to a nearby hospital.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident and no further information has been released to the public.
