Boston Police Department reports that three people suffered injuries of varying degrees in a two-car crash outside Littleton Tubing Park.
“The two cars, a black sedan and a green SUV, were on Back Street outside of the entrance to Beacon Street when they collided,” a Boston Police Department spokesman said.
It was reported that the sedan driver, a 28-year old man, suffered a back injury. The driver of the SUV, a 24-year-old African-American woman, also sustained injuries but the extent of her injuries were not known. The parties involved in the accident were taken to the hospital with reported head, neck, back and hip injuries.
The female passenger in the sedan sustained a broken leg from the crash and severe head trauma. According to the spokesman, she was trapped in the vehicle and it took rescue crews some time to extract her from the car. She was transported to the hospital by helicopter and remained in critical condition.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
