According to Metro Police, a motorcycle ridden by a 31-year-old man was involved in an accident with a Mazda Sedan. This accident reportedly occurred on Kentucky Route 115. It was reported by an officer that the cause of the accident could be the sudden uncontrolled swerving of the car from its lane.
It was reported that the impact of accident was furious to both cyclists. The motorcyclist and his passenger were thrown off the motorcycle and sustained traumatic injuries, police said.
An emergency crew officer said they sustained injuries to the head, back, and arms. The injuries were reportedly life-threatening. The two victims were transported to a nearly hospital for quick treatment.
The driver of the car was not injured, police officer said. However, he stayed at the site of the crash and was being interviewed by police. No charges have been filed yet, since the crash is still being investigated, authorities said.
Dr. Brian Elias, from The Accident and Injury Team, comments on this crash. “It’s tragic whenever you see an accident that involves a car and a motorcycle with two riders. It appears that the driver of the car was at fault. We hope that the police can quickly discover a cause. When someone has been injured in a car crash, it’s hard to know what to do to help. Injured people need appropriate medial treatment, but they also need help to make sure their rights are protected.”
