A Lexus violently crashed into a truck that was parked on the shoulder of Dixie Highway/31W, police report.
The crash was an unexpected incident, police said. A 2011 Lexus IS250 crashed into a truck that was parked on the side of the road near Valley Village, police stated. The crash reportedly happened a few moments after the truck broke down.
The authorities stated that the impact was minimum, yet intense. Incidentally, police reported that the witness said the Lexus was not driving at a high speed. The driver and passenger of the car, however, sustained major injuries as a result of the crash.
First emergency responders arrived at the site of the crash within minutes. Consequently, the driver of the truck, who witnessed the crash, summoned the authorities. Upon the emergency crew’s arrival, the passenger of the car was not conscious, and the driver was immobile, police reported. He reportedly had lower leg and shoulder injuries. Subsequently, first responders transported them to a nearby hospital.
The police are on site of the accident, investigating the cause of the crash.
