Police reported that a 26-year-old man driving a motorcycle crashed into a car head-on while traveling on West Street.
The accident reportedly occurred when a motorcycle rider, traveling east, ran the red light on West street and collided with a car driven by a 32-year-old woman. Both of the drivers were injured in the incident. The motorcycle was traveling at a high speed while the vehicle was traveling at a much slower rate of speed. EMS arrived shortly after the accident occured and administered on-site first aid. Both of the victims sustained traumatic injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
Emergency road crews were seen cleaning up the debris from the accident and directing traffic. Law enforcement did not release the identities of the people involved and are still investigating the accident.
