Police say that two drivers have been injured after an accident on Cooper Chapel Rd, police said.
According Louisville Metro Police the crash happened close to the intersection of Cooper Chapel Road near Cooper Crossings Drive. The incident began when a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into the side of another vehicle while approaching Napoleon Avenue towards Coliseum Street. The Jetta was driven by a 20-year-old man while the Nissan Sentra was driven by a 41-year-old man. Law enforcement did not reveal the identities of either driver.
EMS arrived at the scene of the accident and administered on-site first aid to the injured drivers. Both of the drivers sustained several severe injuries. The Nissan driver was injured on his side and the neck while the Jetta driver sustained injuries to his head. Both of the injured men were taken to the nearby hospital.
No further details were released by authorities and the crash is still being investigated.
