Boston Police arrested a man who drove the wrong way on Boston Street and caused a crash that left two people seriously injured.
A 34-year-old man was driving the wrong way on Boston Street, near US-1, when he struck another vehicle, police said. Subsequently, the man reportedly hit a 2011 Dodge Dart, driven by a 23-year-old woman, with his 2010 Chrysler Pacifica. Police clarified that the man clearly violated traffic regulations by driving into the one-way route.
An eyewitness stated that the Chrysler zoomed into the route at a high speed. He added that it would have been nearly impossible for the oncoming Dodge to avoid the collision.
According to the police, the female driver of the Dodge suffered severe injuries to the head, chest and hip. Upon emergency crew’s arrival, she was immobile and was in serious pain. Additionally, the two passengers in the Dodge suffered serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
The driver of the Chrysler sustained only minor injuries. However, authorities have filed charges against him for violating traffic regulations.
