LMPD report one person dead and 3 people in critical condition in an accident involving two vehicles.
A minivan driven by a 41-year-old woman veered off it’s path and collided head-on with an oncoming SUV. It was reported that the woman was driving at a high rate of speed while attempting to pass a car in her lane. This accident happened on Seatonville Road a few blocks from the Seaton Park Baptist Church.
A witness said that the woman in the minivan was driving in an erratic manner and could have been under the influence of alcohol.
Emergency crews reported that the woman died at the scene of the accident. The 19-year-old male passenger in the minivan suffered traumatic injuries while the driver and passenger of the SUV also sustained major bodily harm as well. They were all rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment with two of the victims on life-support.
No further details were reported and the investigation continues.
